Relics of Buddha stolen from the
Cambodia Temple
NaamPenh: Police say placed golden urn
has been stolen from the Cambodian Buddhist temple, that have relics
of the Buddha. Urn is discovered. Urn have teeth, hair and bones of
Buddha in it.

According to National Police spokesman
Kirt Chantarit, about 45 km from here on the hilltop temple in the
city of Udong stolen last Tuesday revealed about the pitcher. There
are several small statues were stolen with the urn. These residues
are very important for the Cambodia people.
The majority of population in country
is Buddhist . Is reported in the fifth decade of the 20th century the
relics of the Buddha was brought to Sri Lanka on the occasion of the
2,500 th anniversary. According to spokesman five security persons
arrested for Urn theft till now. In 2002, at the behest of the then
King Nrodm Sihanuk bringing these residues to NaamPenh from Udong,
this Buddhist temple available in the Capital. Thousands of people
attended the ceremony organized on this occasion .
